Kama Sutra or Tantra
The sixty-four arts of love = methods for inducing
spontaneous great bliss. There are 8 basic arts which can be performed in eight
different ways. In the Kama Sutra there is a reference on this subject, which
has a very profound meaning behind the secret use of words.



IV
Scratching
Scratching with the nails of the left hand which are cut into three points like
a raven's claw: the cheeks, the breasts, the neck, the back, the tights and
the crotch
1. The knife stroke (Achchuritaka) Slide all five nails to the spot choosen.
The thumbnail can be used instead of all the nails together, if it has sufficient
effect. Grating may have the same effect as an scratch, even no cut has been
made. A girl should be able to show her scratch marks on her chin and her bottom,
even if she does not expose any other nail marks.
2. The half moon (ardhachandra) The semicircular mark left by the nail on the
neck or below the breasts is called the half moon. Very cruel when done with
the little finger, it is more permanent when done with the middle one.
3. The Circle (Mandala) The half moon marks made by nails face to face are known
as the circle. The parts of the body suited for marking with the circle are
the lower belly, the crotch and the butocks.
4. The Dash (Rekha) A straight line may be traced with the nails on any part
of the body, bit it must be short.
5. The tiger claw (Vyãghranakha) A line curving inwards, traced near
the breasts or on the face.
6. The peackocks claw (Mayurapadaka) The nail marks around the breasts when
the nipple is seized by all five nails and pulled outwards,
7. The hare's jump (Shashaplutaka) Extent the pulling of the nipple of the peackocks
claw
8. The lotus leaf (Utpalapattraka) The mark left on the side of the breasts
or on her buttocks
V Enticing walking (Purushayita)
When the boy, wearied after his uninterupted sexual exercises, seeks rest and
is no longer dominated by passion, with his agreement, the girl decends to his
anus and with the aid of an accessory imposes her virile behaviour on him. It
is called mounting a men :sadomizes a men.
1. Exterior sadomization of boys Having made the boy lay down, the woman distracts
his attention with her words while she unties his undergarment. If he protests,
she embraces him to calm his apprehension.

VI Whistling: combat struggle between the lovers.
1. Blows on the shoulders, the head, the grap between the breats, the back,
the sexual area and the sides; Hitting with the side of the hand, with the palm,
with the fist and with the end of the fingers joined
2. Groans of the woman (Sitkrita) Since the blows vary greatly sighs do too:
1. The pigeon (paravata)
2. The cuckoo (Parabhrita)
3. The turtledove (Harata)
4. The parrot (Shuka)
5. The bee (Madhukara)
6. The nightinggale (Datyuha, papiha, Chataka)
7. The goose (Hamsa)
8. The duck (Karandava)
9. The partridge (Lava)
3. Cries (Virutani) are of eight kinds which come from different places and
express a state of minf
1. Nasal Hee (Himkara)
2. Roll of thunder (Stanita)
3. Hissing (Kujita)
4. Weeping (Rudita)
5. Sighing (Sutkrita)
6. Cry of pain (Dutkrita)
7. Violent expulsion of breath (Phutkrita)
8. Call for mother
4. Excrusiating (Prasritaka) a way of striking the head with joined fingers,
making her scream when she is thus assailed
5. The nail (Kilã) Joining thumb and little finger, with the middle finger
reinforcing the thumb from behind. Girls of the south, who wear mark on their
breast.
6. The knife (kartari) Straight Fingers with one hand is is called the great
knife; with joined hands is it known as the twin knife. Bending the fingers
with the thumb tip above joined to the index is the speaking knife. In using
it the scratching of the finger makes a slight noise. Some people call it the
blue lotus leaf. In both cases the nale of the little finger scratsches the
head. Done on the forehead, close to the hair parting.
7. The borer (Viddha) The index, middle and ringfingers are bend toward the
middle of the thumb, as with fist. The fingers facing the thumb graze the cheek
cruelly. Especially done on the cheeks.
8. The Pincers (Sandanshikã) With close fist pinching with the thumb
and index and middel finger. Usually practised on the breasts or sides, pressing
hard, pulling the flesh and bruising it.
VII performing the actions of a man
1. The box (Samputaka) When both lie face to face. It is of two kinds: side
by side or one on top of the other.
1. Great pressure (Piditaka) The box position, the instrument is made to penetrate
violently between the tights
2. Envelopment (Veshtitaka) For envelopment she crosses her tights in view of
being penetrated by the instrument in the box position
2. The mare (Vãdavãka) Like the mare who seizes the instrument
without moving, the same name is given to this performance
1. Bent (Bhagnaka) Both tights are raised into the air
2. Gaping (Jrimbhitaka) She raises both her legs and places them on the boys
bent back
3. High Presure (Utpiditaka) Performed with both legs bent back
4. Half presure (Ardhapidita) One leg is folded
3. Broken Flute (Venudaritaka) One leg is resting on the boy's shoulder is removed
and subsequently replaced on his shoulder several times
4. Impalement (Shulachitaka) The woman places one foot on the boy's head and
extending the other, allow herself to be penetraded.
5. The crab (Karkataka) Like a crab folding its claws, the woman, lying down,
folds her bended legs over her vulmerable part, the boy pressing his navel against
het legs
6. Tight (Piditaka) The girl crosses her raised legs
7. Lotus (Padmãsana) Spreading the tights, the girl places her right
